Aunt Jane's Green Beans

These green beans are not the diet kind.  My Aunt Jane always made these green beans for holiday dinners.  They're better than the yucky Green Bean Casserole anyday.

1 or 2 large cans Julienne cut green beans, don't drain
1 stick of butter (the real kind, with salt)
1/4 cup bacon grease
salt and pepper to taste, and be generous please

Dump all ingredients into a heavy pot, generously salt and pepper, cook over medium/high heat until most of the liquid has cooked down.  May cook for over an hour.  Serve.
